About the Network

The Syrian International Education Network is...

The Syrian International Education Network is an initiative launched on December 8, 2024, by Syrians specialized in education and teaching. It contributes to addressing the challenges faced by the education sector in Syria by providing a platform for communication and collaboration among various stakeholders in the education field, including public education, non-governmental organizations, independent individuals, experts, teachers, and students.

The network is not a political, partisan, or religious group, nor is it a funding organization; it does not provide any form of financial payments, grants, contributions, or travel-related funds for individuals or organizations.

Our Vision

The Syrian International Education Network strives to contribute to building a Syrian society where all children enjoy quality, inclusive, and equitable education, with lifelong learning opportunities for everyone, within a safe environment governed by high values and noble ethical principles.

Our Mission

Supporting the Public Education Sector

The network facilitates communication between the Syrian Ministry of Education and experts specialized in education, as well as donor organizations. Additionally, the working groups established by the network in various fields act as research centers that support the ministry in its decision-making process.

Supporting the Independence of Syrian Educational Decision-Making

The network contributes to attracting national expertise from inside and outside Syria and coordinates them into working groups, thereby supporting the government’s decision-making process. Demonstrating the ability to carry out strategic planning with national hands closes the door to external parties attempting to influence Syrian decision-making mechanisms.

Facilitating Communication and Networking Among Diverse Stakeholders

The network brings together donors and support recipients, experts, and education policymakers in Syria to achieve positive change in policies and practices, and to support building partnerships that address educational challenges and promote its development.

Building Connected Communities

The network provides an online platform containing several virtual communities aimed at facilitating communication, interaction, and collaboration among members with shared interests to exchange experiences. This contributes to developing their capacities and enables them to perform their activities more efficiently and effectively through teamwork.

Participatory Decision-Making

Through its communication communities and working groups, the network enables enhanced participation of the local community and experts in educational decision-making.

Knowledge Management

Through its online platform, the network collects, filters, organizes, and publishes relevant educational information and resources, aiming to strengthen individual and institutional capacities.

Advocacy and Support

The network works to amplify the voices of its members in alignment with its vision and principles of work.

Membership Benefits
